However, you will lose some amount of time distributing the call-in number, and if your email server is down, expect some major fumbling around. A dedicated bridge line in your phone system is a good option, although if you have a data center outage, it will likely be down as well. A dedicated 800 number bridge is not cheap, but it is well worth it when you need it. And if you are managing geographically disbursed teams, it may be a non-negotiable. Regardless, whatever you can afford, think through the provisioning before you need it.
