April Jobs Report Disappoints Overall (but IT is up)

The Labor Department reported today of reduced hiring in April for the third straight month – employers added only 115,000 workers to payrolls rather than the forecasted 170,000. However, it did report on a strong uptrend in “professional and business services” which would include most of the IT types.
